The keyboard family of musical instruments

The purpose of this paper is to provide a general education on the keyboard instruments – piano, harpsichord and organ. This information will be most useful to students preparing for Board examinations music Australia:
Music Craft Preliminary Grade examination.
Keyboard instruments can play many notes at once.
Piano, harpsichord, organ and keyboards used to produce sounds in three different ways:
1.Piano: felt hammers striking strings when a key is depressed as different forces.
2.Harpsichord: the string is plucked if a key is depressed.
3.Pipe Body: touching the keys and pedals of the organ causes air to move through pipelines.
The body has the largest range, the smallest of the key. 3 The instruments have a keyboard and can play wide range of high, medium and low range sounds.
The precise form of these tools varies widely. There are 2 types of pianos, the vertical and large.
Harpsichords can have a grand piano, except the body tends to have points of view instead of curves.
Preliminary Grade instrument recognition is limited to families of instruments. The recognition is limited to the aural and visual identification of the family.
Advice to students:
1. Ask your music teacher to play the sound of the piano, organ or harpsichord (in keyboard / electric piano samples or find on the web) and you have to identify what instrument she plays. Practice this as often as possible as long as necessary.
2. Being able to visually recognize each instrument keyboard.
3. Ask your music teacher to play the notes in the high range (HR), low range (LR) and mid-range (MR) of each instrument and will write the name of the instrument and if you listen listening HR, LR or MR.
